Implementation of Phase II of the VA Learning Management System (VA LMS)

The VA Learning Management System implementation began in October 2007 with Phase I making VA national mandatory and other national training available to all VA locations/employees. Phase II, which enables creation and management of local training items in the VA LMS, has been implemented in some domains. Most of VHA continues to have only national training available through VA LMS.

Phase II implementation for the remaining VHA centers, VISNs, and Central Office (VACO and VHACO) will begin in FY 2010. In preparation for this, the VA LMS Program Office will gather information from offices and facilities to help make this a well planned implementation. Following a carefully mapped and methodical plan will help ensure a smooth transition. Schedules for implementation of Phase II of the VA LMS will be communicated as they are established.
