The Role of the VA LMS Supervisor UserSupervisors are VA LMS users with additional functionality for management of learning for their subordinates. VA LMS Users include all VA employees and staff (residents, volunteers, physicians with-out compensation (WOC), students, contractors, and Federal non-VA employees). Training will prepare all VA employees and staff to use the VA LMS to register for, access, and record training assignments. This training is intended to be delivered at the local level. As a VA LMS Supervisor, the WBT is designed to present you with essential information about the critical VA LMS functions you need to know to begin your VA LMS learning experiences. As a VA LMS Supervisor, the WBT provides you essential information about managing your employees within the VA LMS. How Do I Use the VA LMS Supervisor Web-based Training?VA LMS Supervisor Web-based Training (WBT) is separated into five VA LMS "Processes." Each Process consists of individual VA LMS "tasks" that are logically ordered within each Process. The VA LMS Supervisor WBTs allow you to choose whether to receive training on at the process level or to receive training at the task level. Each Process and Task has three WBT components:

This will allow you to make your own notes on the reference guide as you view the demo, transforming the training guide from a generic guide for all into a personal training and job resource just for you! The WBT is designed to be used as training or as a standalone system of information. And, you can print the Reference Guide documents for each individual task. The design of the WBT provides you with great flexibility in:

Can I Get Credit for Reviewing the WBT on the InsideLMS Web Site?Yes, you can but you are on the "honor system." Until the WBT are accessible through the LMS, there is no way of automatically tracking and crediting your engagement of the WBT. Once you review the Supervisor WBT on the InsideLMS web site, contact your supervisor and/or local training management staff person. Provide information about the WBT you reviewed and the amount of time it took you to complete the review. At most facilities, this is not an uncommon event and you should be able receive credit for your time and effort. September 20, 2007 Other Training for the VA LMS Supervisor UserYour local VA LMS Point of Contact and VA LMS Administrators are your primary source for training on use of the VA LMS system.
